Begin your day tour of rural Marrakech with a drive along the Agadir road to the Berber village of Imin Tanout. Discover the countryside and the village of Boulaouane with your personal guide, Mohamed. Meet local families who will greet you like long-lost friends.
Spend the day with a family and experience every-day Berber life—draw water from a well, 'park' a donkey, pick fresh mint, or harvest crops (depending on the time of the year). Learn how to weave a rug, paint henna on your hands or feet, or write your name in Berber. With your family hosts, prepare and enjoy lunch by cooking tagines, baking bread in a traditional oven, and eating in true Berber style with no knives or forks!
Entertainment follows lunch with Berber songs, dances, and a mint tea-making competition, complete with a prize for the winner. Depending on the day and time of year, you may visit a local village school before returning to Marrakesh.
