Created in the 12C by Abd el-Moumen, then enlarged by the Saadians, Aguedal orchard is a true haven of peace, mainly planted with olive trees, reserved for the sultans and their courts. Magnificent parties were held under the shade of its trees and by the calm waters of its pools. From the terrace of the first little pavilion (Dar el Hana), there is a fine panorama: of the pool, the olive grove, Marrakech and the Jbilet Range to the north; and of the High Atlas to the south.
