Ouled Driss : Michelin's recommendations

Stop for a minute to admire the ksar of Ouled Driss, in the heart of a palm grove which the road goes through. Veiled women dressed in black walk by the adobe walls and towers, carrying clay amphoras on their shoulders. Be sure above all to visit the kasbah (signposted). It is five centuries old and thought to be the oldest one in Ouled Driss. The keeper of the site, an ethnologist, has set up what he calls a “living museum” of the Draa Valley where a bread oven, a cedar couscous platter, a loom and Berber costumes are cleverly displayed.
