The American Legation and its splendid “apartments” are located on Rue de la Marine. From 1821 to 1956, this was the American diplomatic mission before it moved to the capital in Rabat. Nowadays it features exhibitions of national and international contemporary art, as well as historical documents. Enjoy the paintings by artists such as Mohamed Naciri, James McBey and Yves Brayer set in the elegant atmosphere of its Moorish decor (sculpted wood, wrought iron).
