The tangled little streets lined with white façades in the medina, sheltered behind its ramparts, weave between souks and residences, stalls and emblematic buildings. You have to get a bit lost (nothing could be simpler!) to really appreciate it, while making sure to take in the highlights: the always lively Petit Socco lined with pleasant sidewalk cafés, the Great Mosque, the Kasbah overlooking it all, and the American Legation - for art lovers. For a view of the harbour, head to the end of Rue de la Marine, then to the Grand Socco on Rue des Siaghines.
