Telouèt, which before the opening of the Tizi-n-Tichka road occupied a strategic position as an obligatory point of passage between Marrakech and Ouarzazate, was the fiefdom of the Glaoui clan. Although the kasbah, built in the 19C, is now abandoned, one look at the former reception rooms gives you an idea of the building’s former prestige. Zellige tiles and other decorations make up the magnificent décor. Be sure to go up to the terrace, affording a pretty view.
