From Tetouan to El-Jebha, the road overlooking the Mediterranean runs through superb landscapes contrasting sea and mountains, green cedars and eucalyptus and ochre-coloured earth, jagged coastline and empty coves between cliffs. The scene is animated by a multitude of creatures, from a flock of sheep sauntering on the other side of an embankment and a little donkey loaded with a basket trotting beside a farmer in his thick brown wool jellaba to kids carrying heavy plastic jugs full of water.
