A great many of the pieces on display in the archaeological museum come from Lixus, a city founded by the Phoenicians. The museum’s walls and surrounding garden also contain mosaics, vases and everyday objects that are vestiges of what later became a Roman city. Other objects dating back to the prehistorical and neolithic eras round out the exhibition.
