Bert Flint, a Dutchman and adopted Moroccan, always had a passion for Moroccan folk art and has worked daily to make it accessible to as many people as possible. The collection he put together – and has put on display here under the name “The art of Parure in the Sahara: Maghreb and Sahel” – takes you on a journey from Marrakech to Timbuktu by illustrating highlights in the lives of Moroccans, paired with choice costumes. The Hispano-Moorish house is a superb setting for the exhibition.
