Burgers' Zoo : Michelin's recommendations
The emphasis in this animal Park is on education, recreation and scientific research. Man-made ecosystems enable you to see animals in their natural habitats. You'll see flora and fauna from the North American desert in Burgers' Desert, young forest in Burgers' Bush, a tropical beach and lagoon in Burgers' Ocean, mangrove in Burgers' Mangrove and a swamp in Burgers' Savanne. Between the granite rocks, the sand dunes and there cacti of Burgers' Desert, you will see vultures, lynx, peccary, mouflon and multicoloured hummingbirds. You will then enter into the humid forest (large covered area in burgers' Bush) where you will encounter a variety of wildlife. On the outskirts of the tropical beach and lagoon (the tunnel crossing the coral reef allows you seen an underwater world made up of coral, sponges, anemones and starfish. Hundreds of multicoloured fishes then join you to provide a stunning spectacle with an immense window providing a view of the the seabed where sharks, rays and jellyfish Between the roots of the mangroves, in particular you will see, fish, crabs, snails and tortoises. In the Swamp (Burger's Swamp), you will see giraffes, ostriches, rhinoceros, antelope and crested cranes. In the enclosed parks, you will see lions and leopards. The group of chimpanzees, the birds of prey and the nocturnal animals are also worth seeing.
