Bourtange : Michelin's recommendations
Located near the German frontier, Bourtange is one of the best preserved strongholds in the Netherlands. Outside the village, you can see some remains of the old fortifications. In 1967, the town was listed as a historic monument. Major restoration work has now given back the fortifications their impressive appearance of 1742.
