Brouwershaven : Michelin's recommendations

This small marina was once a prosperous port which imported beer from Delft (brouwer : brewer). The town suffered from flooding in 1953. It is the home town of Jacob Cats , a statesman who was the Great pensionnaire of Holland and Western Friesland from 1636 to 1651 and who is also renowned for his poetry.
