Situated in the centre of a beautiful park and encircled by a moat, this castle served as the residence of the former German emperor, William II, from 1920 until his death in 1941. Built in the 14C, the castle was modified in 1780. One tower at the South-West remains from the Medieval construction. The interior, which has remained unchanged since the emperor's death, is now a museum housing objects (paintings, tapestry, silverware, uniforms, ceremonial sabres...) associated with William II.
