The so-called 'Fish Street' leads straight to the very modern Dordrecht business district. No. 7 is a delightful Renaissance building: De Crimpert Salm (1608), surmounted by a lion. Among its finely carved façade stones is one representing a salmon (zalm). The windows, which are framed by mouldings hanging down onto culs-de-lampe, are a common Dordrecht feature. The bridge leading to Groenmarkt affords a view of the canal and the Neoclassical town hall.
