The public scale (Kaaswaag) was located in this square. Cheese used to be weighed there. Decorated with painted panels, this building is occupied by an exhibit on the manufacture of cheese. It is here that, in summer, the traditional spectacle of the cheese market (Kaasmarkt) takes place.
