Elburg Travel guide
Elburg : Michelin's recommendations
This small town, once a lively port on the Zuiderzee (14C), used to belong to the Hanseatic League and has preserved a medieval character. Elburg is still enclosed by its quadrilateral shaped walls (14C), which have been transformed today into gardens ringed by canals. Its chequerboard streets, especially those alongside the narrow canal (De Beekstraat), are lined with attractive houses and the pavements are a tapestry of black and white cobbles.
