Between the trees you can see a hunebed (D 43) that has been returned to its tumulus form and conceals two burial passages. The tumulus is surrounded by dressed stones. Gaps between the stones are filled with pebbles to hold the earth inside.Another 100 m to the north, on the left side of the road, you will see a small hunebed (D 41) covered with flagstones. On the right as you leave Emmen, the "hunebedden" road takes you through the forest to a clearing where there are three hunebedden (D 38/40).
