This graceful Renaissance building was erected in 1653 and has elegant facades with finely crafted gables. Shells surmount the impressive windows. Initially this monument was used as an office for the collection of local taxes, then as a workshop for the hall-marking of precious metals. Nowadays it contains a pleasant café-restaurant.

Cons
The „Goudkantoor” is not situated in the right place on the map. You will find the charming building in between Grote Markt, Guldenstraat and Waagplein. In fact the streets Waagplein and Tussen beide Markten are drawn incorrectly.
