Opposite the station, on an island in the middle of the canal, a superb multi-faceted building (1992-1994) contains the regional museum. The collections on display are perhaps lacking in unity, but not interest: archaeology, decorative art (in particular fine Chinese and Japanese porcelain), contemporary and ancient art. There are frequent temporary exhibitions.
