This huge 15C church is topped by a superb 80m high lantern tower, made of wood covered with lead (where the nave and transept cross). Admire the cedar vault (nave and choir) inside. A number of famous people have been laid to rest here, among them the painters Pieter Saenredam and Frans Hals. Note the 17C pulpit, the stalls dating from 1512 and the early 16C screen in the choir. The organs (1738), decorated with drawings by the architect D. Marot, have been among the best instruments in the world for many years.
