This very large basilica was built between 1895 and 1906 by J. T. Cuypers in the neo-Gothic style and according to the taste of the era. Its sacristy houses the treasure: an important collection of liturgical objects, mainly of silver (15-20 C). Note in particular the vestments (early 16 C), which came from a former beguine convent in the city.
