At the mouth of the Nieuwe Waterweg, Hoek van Holland is the outer harbour of Rotterdam for passengers, as well as the departure point for ferries to England (Harwich). The sight of the huge amount of shipping heading for Rotterdam or the North Sea is impressive. Opposite, you can see the installations of the Europoort.
