The houses in this street which are closer to the square lean a great deal and are topped with impressive carved balustrades in rococo style. At No. 43, note the Foreest house (Foreestenhuis) dating from 1724, which bears the name of Nanning van Foorest, one of the most famous governors of the town. The elegant Louis XIV façade has a balcony supported by atlantes.
