At No. 4 in this narrow street stands the porch of the old Orphanage (Weeshuis), dating from 1620. A memorial stone recalls that Admiral Bossu was imprisoned in Hoorn. Not far from here, in Muntstraat (No. 4), note the house with a scrolled gable on which are carved the letters V.O.C., as a reminder that this house belonged to the United East India Company.
