All that remains of the ramparts of this old stronghold is a small half-moon bastion or ravelin, covered in earth and surrounded by water. Not far from here, you will find a pretty windmill. The belfry is crowned with a golden cockerel, that can be seen from the town centre. It used to belong to the oldest Protestant church in Zeeland (1612).
