Overlooked by the new 18C town hall, this small building dating from 1543 is crowned with galleries and flanked to the rear by an octagonal, slightly leaning tower, with an openwork onion dome. Its pinnacled gable is framed by turrets. The Magistrates' Hall (Schepenzaal), with oak panelling, contains a bench decorated with rich Renaissance reliefs next to a monumental fireplace (1545) dominated by the head and shield of Charles V and decorated in the centre by a graceful statue.
