The widow of William Henry Singer built a cultural centre in 1956 near the painter's villa. It includes a theatre and a museum. The museum brings together fine collections displayed in rotation: French painters of the 19C and 20C (Corot, Boudin, Le Sidaner), works by the Amsterdam and Hague schools (Maris, Bosboom, Isaac Israëls) and works by the Laren school (Hart Nibbrig). A few sculptures are scattered throughout the museum and gardens.
