As well as a particularly interesting Egyptology section, this museum has collections of antiquities (Near-East, Greece and Rome) as well as an archaeology section dedicated to the Netherlands. You can see the Temple of Isis of Taffeh from the Augustan era (27 BC-14 AD), donated to the Netherlands when Nubian monuments were being salvaged at the time of the construction of the Aswan Dam. The museum has been successfully modernised and displays its fine artefacts with particular care.
