This quay, which borders one of the main port basins (Westerhaven: west basin), has some attractive houses. Especially noteworthy are those at nos 9 to 14, with stepped gables, and those at nos 16 and 20. In the Torenstraat, which goes away from the Westerhaven, the old hospice (Weeshuis) has a doorway topped by a naive low-relief depicting four orphans (18C).
