This museum is dedicated to the history, art and culture of the Nijmegen and Gelderland province. As well as one of the largest collections of everyday objects and objets d'art from the country, it has pieces dating from prehistoric times and from the start of the medieval period (sculptures, crockery, jewellery, coins, glasswork), pieces of gold and silversmith's work from Nijmegen, objects coming from guilds or corporations, various engravings, drawings and both modern and contemporary paintings.
