Nuenen Travel guide
Nuenen : Michelin's recommendations
This town bears the imprint of the passage of Vincent van Gogh , who having spent some months in Drenthe, stayed here in the presbytery where his father lived (December 1883-November 1885). It was here that the painter really began to paint with oils before leaving for Anvers. He painted many portraits of the peasants who served him as studies for his great work The Potato-eaters .
