Orvelte : Michelin's recommendations

This village, located at the heart of Drenthe, groups together thatched farmhouses and barns which have kept their regional character as a result of a general restoration project (no entry for cars). The local crafts (pottery, blacksmiths) have developed there alongside traditional farming activities (cow and sheep breeding, maize crops). A walk through this lively museum-village (museumdorp) will lead to many interesting discoveries.
