This former church of a Cistercian abbey is typical of the Rhenish style. It was begun in 1218 in the Romanesque-Gothic transitional style and was restored in the 19C by Cuypers. Flanked on the west side by a porch enclosed by two spires, it is covered at the crossing of the transept by a dome with two turrets. The church has a Brabantine retable from around 1530 and the tomb of two of its founders, the Count of Gelderland Gerard IV and Marguerite of Brabant.
