This zoo is home to more than 2000 animal species, with some rare specimens (okapis). There are a number of associated attractions, including a tropical forest, a cave and some islands. The oppressive heat and humidity of the "Taman Indah" (tropical forest) are disorientating. The islands are populated by monkeys and the cave is the domain of the bats. In the large Riviera-Hal there are aquariums, a terrarium (reptiles and amphibians), a tropical greenhouse, and aviaries.
