For 8km along the Staphorst-Rouveen road, there is a series of virtually identical yet picturesque thatched-roofed farms, their smart wooden features painted in green and blue. The buildings are of the hall-house type, with numerous doors in line along their lateral façades. One of them has been converted into a museum open to visitors.
