Louis Napoleon financed the construction of this church for the French-speaking protestant community of the Hague. These protestants were the descendants of persecuted Huguenots and before the 19th Century they worshipped in a chapel in the castle. Nowadays services are performed under the aegis of the Dutch Reformed Church.
