The De Pont foundation was created by a Tilburg businessman: Jan de Pont (1915-1987) who wished to promote contemporary art. The museum is in the old Thomas de Beer wool mill and is mainly lit by daylight. You can see works by R. Serra, M. Dumas, T. De Cordier, G. Merz, A. Kapoor, J. Turrell, J. Dibbets, M. Schouten, R. Birza, G. Geelen and R. Long. In summer, the garden is made available to an artist.
