Similar to the Oudegracht, this canal is lined with elegant houses. There is the Hofpoort, the Baroque door of the Courthouse (17C) and an old pretty house at no. 37. Further on at no.63, is the Catharijneconvent museum. From the bridge, there is an attractive view over the canal and Domtoren.
