This building was built between 1918 and 1924 in the Amsterdam school style. Its extraordinary vault is made up of bands of yellow enamelled bricks and glass. The impressive black statues symbolise the five continents, Commerce and Prosperity, and the statue in the hall depicts the postal service on land (horses), over the sea (fish) and in the air (birds).
