This museum traces the history of the town and especially recalls the excavations carried out on the site of the old Dorestad.

This balustraded mill is located near to Lek. Its base forms an arch which has a striking resemblance to that depicted by Jacob van Ruysdael in a picture on show at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
