Willemstad Travel guide
Willemstad : Michelin's recommendations
This fortified town in a star shape (1583) owes its name to its founder: William (Willem) of Orange. Its fortifications, by A. Anthonisz , are one of the most attractive examples of the old Dutch system. Its marina is very busy. It commands the lock which opens onto the Volkerak. Boat trips are organised in the north of the Delta.
