Woerden : Michelin's recommendations
This town located on the Old Rhine, is an old important stronghold, regarded for a long time as "the key to Holland". In 1672, however, the Dutch were defeated here by the soldiers of Louis XIV. The town is still surrounded by the moat which used to run alongside its fortified surrounding wall.

Stadsmuseum
