This is the largest wholesale vegetable market in Europe, reachable by boat. Between 1847 in 1973, the market gardeners of the "Kingdom" called the "Thousand islands" brought their vegetables to the market by boat. Boats have been moored at the quayside since 1903 and all but enter the auction room! Here you can buy your own vegetables at auction or take a boat trip.
