To the north of this square, the house of De Write Swaen (the white swan) is from 1658 and has a Baroque gable. It was rebuilt after the catastrophe of 1953. At the side of a church, Gasthuiskerk, is an old market from 1651 ( Beurs) formed by a Renaissance gallery with Tuscan columns.
