This imposing castle dominates the town of 's-Heerenberg, situated near the border. Built in the 13C by the Van den Bergh, it was remodelled in the 17C. In 1946, its last owner bequeathed the castle and its contents to the State The interior has old-fashioned furniture, and is decorated with paintings and wood and ivory sculptures. Nearby, the former Gothic style chapel is now a parish church.
