Constructed by the Jesuits in the 18C, the grandeur and rich ornamentation of the Compañía de Jesús seems to defy the next-door cathedral. Behind the profusely carved Baroque façade are a host of elements such as the imposing main altar entirely covered in gilt, whose sculptures and superb paintings bear witness to the brotherly relations between the Jesuits and Indians.

Pros
Ja, kann ich nur bestätigen. Ich war erst im Mai 2011 in dieser Kirche und habe mir einen Gottesdienst angehört; auch wenn ich nichts verstanden habe. Alle Kirchen in Cuzco sind sehr schön. Und das Restaurant hinter dem Balkon gegenüber kann ich auch empfehlen :-)
