The Casa Cabrera, 16C home of conquistador Alonso Díaz, was restored and turned into the pre-Columbian Museum of Art (MAP) in 2003. It contains a selection of the 450 works of art from Lima's Larco Museum, dating from 1250BC to 1532AD, as well as colonial art. Its gold, bone and shell jewellery, wooden sculpture, ceramics and examples of Nazca, Mochica, Huari, Chimú, Chancay and Incan art collections are displayed in eleven rooms.
