The Callejón de Huaylas is a valley stretching for nearly 200km, wedged between the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra. Anyone who ventures here will be rewarded with a stunning series of vistas, light years from the pitfalls of mass tourism. The exquisite village of Caraz, ideal to relax and wind down, lies at the bottom of the valley, while the more adventurous (and fit) might want to attempt a climb of the Cordillera of Huayhuash.
