Juli, a small village of just 7,000 inhabitants, makes a pleasant halt on the road from Puno to Copacabana. After a trip to the market (Wednesdays and Sundays), explore the four churches built by the Jesuits and Dominicans in the 16C and 17C. From San Pedro, the best preserved to Santa Cruz, of which only the portal and bell tower remain, without forgetting San Juan de Letrán and its paintings by the Cuzco School and La Ascunción and its superb portal, lovers of old stones will be enchanted.
