: Michelin's recommendations
Folklore capital of Lambayeque, Monsefú is a village that is famous for its florists and above all for its craft industry: woven straw (hats, purses, bags, etc.) and gold and silver embroidery (napkins, shirts, ponchos, etc.). The town is also the scene of one of the region's most captivating religious festivals. Every year on 14 March, the Procesión del Señor cautivo (procession of the captive Christ) is the occasion of a flower, dance and music contest, together with craft exhibitions.
